Job Responsibilities

Provide medical oversight of assigned clinical studies as a medical monitor and primary contact for customers.

Support the Drug Safety and Pharmacovigilance department with medical input.

Design and develop protocols, provide input into amendments.

Develop and deliver project‑specific and therapeutic training to team members and clinical site staff.

Offer medical and therapeutic input to Study Start‑Up, Feasibility, and Subject Identification, including review of informed consent templates and site feasibility evaluations.

Input into data collection tools, monitoring plans, and review and analysis plans.

Oversee assigned Medical Scientist staff and Medical Director colleagues, presenting trends, risks, and mitigation strategies to customers and project team members.

Provide after‑hours coverage for clinical studies.

Adhere to enterprise policies, work instructions, SOPs, and project plans, as well as customer policies and SOPs.

Maintain in‑depth knowledge of FDA and worldwide drug development regulations and GCP guidelines.

Lead medical responses to RFPs and Bid Defense Meetings, and support RFIs.

Contribute to product/clinical development plans and collaborate with customer and internal colleagues on regulatory submissions.

Represent the Company at scientific and industry meetings; publish scientific or industry‑related articles as requested.

Mentor staff to ensure understanding of scientific and research principles and compliance with such principles.

Assume line management duties as needed.

Summary

Senior Medical Director – Psychiatrist. Provides medical oversight of assigned clinical studies, interacts with senior management, customers, and project teams to ensure subject safety and scientific integrity, and performs the duties of a Medical Monitor. Serves as a mentor, consultant, and training guide to business unit staff and project colleagues, and may supervise other Medical Directors as required.
