Senior Financial Reporting Analyst

RELATIONSHIP & SCOPE
The Senior Financial Reporting Analyst will report to the Senior Manager, Financial Reporting and is a pivotal team member of the Global Controllership unit at Chubb responsible for preparation of quarterly SEC filings and consolidated financial reporting. The Senior Financial Reporting Analyst will interact with a diverse group of internal personnel including other financial analysts, divisional leadership, and functional staff to interpret financial data and operational performance.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist in the preparation of all 10-Q/K SEC filings including financial statements, footnotes, disclosures and supporting documentation
Be accountable for various analytical and reporting responsibilities that include the ability to work within finance and other departments
Recognize, research, and resolve SEC reporting and general accounting issues
Analyze technical accounting topics and propose conclusions
Assist in XBRL reporting for all SEC filings, which includes researching tags and staying up to date with taxonomy updates
Assist with the implementation of FASB projects and standards
Technical Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Business with a major in Accounting or Finance
Minimum 3 years of accounting experience required, with Big 4 experience preferred
CPA designation preferred
Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent computer skills with an ability to learn accounting software
Ability to multi-task and prioritize deadlines
Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Microsoft Word and Excel experience required
Mindset for process improvement and efficiency
Proven problem-solving and analytical skills
