About The Team/role As the Senior Director, Talent , you will lead and scale our talent recruiting function, drive our global recruiting strategy, and set the vision for the future. You will act as a trusted advisor to Checkr leaders, shaping recruiting strategies, fostering cross-functional partnerships, and leveraging data and analytics. Your expertise in technology, including AI, and experience recruiting within LATAM will be crucial. Reporting to the Chief Legal Officer and Head of People, you will be a key member of the People Leadership Team, leading a team of approximately 15 talent acquisition professionals.
What You’ll Do
Lead and Scale the Talent Recruiting Function: Develop and implement a comprehensive talent acquisition strategy, ensure efficiency, improve processes, and mentor the team.
Cross-Functional Partnerships: Collaborate with organizational leaders to understand talent needs and act as a trusted advisor.
Data-Driven Decision Making: Use analytics to improve hiring velocity and quality, and track progress with metrics and reporting systems.
Technology and AI Integration: Incorporate AI and innovative tools into recruiting processes to streamline operations and enhance candidate experience.
Recruiting in LATAM: Use your LATAM recruiting experience to expand talent pools in Santiago, Chile, and develop strategies to attract top talent.
Employer Brand Recognition: Build and promote our employer brand through initiatives highlighting culture and growth opportunities.
Strategic and Tactical Leadership: Balance strategic planning with hands-on recruiting activities to ensure successful outcomes.
What You Bring
10+ years in talent acquisition, with at least 5 years in leadership
Proven experience in building and scaling recruiting teams
Experience overseeing technical and non-technical recruiting
Knowledge of the LATAM talent landscape
Expertise in data, analytics, and industry benchmarks
Familiarity with AI and recruiting technology
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
Passion for mentoring and fostering growth
Willingness to lead in a hands-on, high-performance environment

At Checkr, we support a hybrid work environment with locations in Denver, CO, San Francisco, CA, and Santiago, Chile. Employees are expected to work 2-3 days in the office weekly, with perks such as lunch, stipends, and snacks. We disclose salary ranges to promote transparency, with the range for this role in San Francisco, CA, being $292,000 to $343,000.
