About the Role

The Company is seeking a Senior Director, Head of Sponsorship Sales to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and securing partnerships with a focus on premium player associations and individual athletes. This role demands an individual with exceptional communication, teamwork, and self-motivation, who has a proven track record in business development, sponsorship, and athlete endorsements. The Senior Director will be expected to have a deep understanding of the sports sponsorship and marketing landscape, including the ability to identify and align with high-potential target brands. A strategic thinker and creative seller, the ideal candidate will be adept at presenting long-term partnership solutions that meet the needs of both the client and the company.

Key responsibilities for the Senior Director include collaborating with the VP and Sales Strategy team to identify market opportunities, generating compelling partnership platforms, and executing a sales strategy that exceeds revenue targets. The role also involves managing a small sales team, creating and presenting unique activations, and ensuring that partnerships are tailored to meet client needs and deliver results. The candidate should have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, at least 15 years in direct sales or business development within a major sports league or agency, and a strong network of industry connections. Proficiency in sales CRM software and a keen interest in sports, media, entertainment, and athlete empowerment are essential. The position requires a candidate who is a skilled storyteller, a collaborative leader, and who can turn insights into impactful sales tools.
