Overview Sr Director Project Management The Sr Director Project Management will lead the Project Management activities across the Enterprise. This seasoned PM professional will have deep knowledge and experience of PM best practices and systems and be able to implement them resulting in increased efficiency, optimized workflow processes, reduced cycle times, more effective use of resources, and reductions in errors. This position will work cross-functionally to ensure that the project management discipline addresses the business requirements. Reporting to the Executive Leadership, the Sr Director Project Management will be accountable for continual and quantifiable improvement in efficiency, staff utilization, cost savings and client satisfaction (relevant to operations). The Sr Director Project Management will lead the Project Management activities across the Enterprise. This role will implement PM best practices and systems to improve efficiency, define and enforce an optimized workflow, shorten cycle times, optimize resource use, and reduce errors. It works cross-functionally to ensure project management addresses business requirements and reports to Executive Leadership with accountability for improvement in efficiency, staff utilization, cost savings and client satisfaction. Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities PMO Related: Leads enterprise-wide project initiatives related to operations, tools and PM functions Hire, train and mentor full 360 execution experienced Project Managers Facilitates improvement of project team communications through common processes, deliverables, and terminology Enforce project schedule conformity across business units Enforce project change management protocols across business units Establishes and deploys a common set of project management processes and templates Projects Related: Owner of Project Execution; Project setup in PM tool/system; Schedule creation and management; Book and facilitate key project meetings; Ensure on-time delivery across strategy, execution, release and closeout; Conduct project status with internal teams and clients; Ensure seamless pass-off between departments Resource Management: Time tracking compliance; Capacity planning for active programs; Employee utilization reporting; Budget planning support; Assign resources to projects Tools/Templates: PM tool ownership; Design/implement templates, reports, and workflows; Induction and refresher training; Communications about PM tool updates Process Governance: Owns integrity of PM processes; enforce adoption of new/existing processes; deploy updates consistently; manage change Monitor/Control: Track metrics on project delivery; assess and improve workflow for scalability Vendor Management: Manage execution-based vendors; support accounts with deliverables; handle contracts and invoices Budgeting: Provide budgeting support and reconciliation; assist with invoicing in system Staff Management: Direct/indirect supervision and mentoring as applicable; provide performance review input Supervisory Responsibilities Direct Reports: This position does not have supervisory responsibilities for direct reports. Indirect Reports: May delegate work and provide guidance to indirect reports. Travel Travel up to 15%. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; Project Management Certification required. Experience: 10-15+ years in Project Management; B2B experience preferred; experience in process architecture and tools architecture; able to map processes and inductions to enterprise. Skills & Abilities: Proficient with Microsoft Office; experience with PM tools (PPM or MS Project); ability to manage technical resources and lead project teams; strong communications, customer service, interpersonal, prioritization, coaching and leadership skills; ability to work independently and manage multiple duties under deadlines; ability to present, analyze data and drive cross-functional leadership.
