Senior Director, Program Team Lead, Pharma Project Management

Overview Location: South San Francisco, CA - Hybrid, with the ability to be in office 2-3 days per week
Position Summary:
As Program Team Lead (PTL) early development focused initially on our lead clinical stage program, you will be driving execution of the program vision and strategy and play a central role in steering the program towards its goals. You will oversee planning, resources, budgets and activities ensuring program deliverables stay on track as we work toward bringing this important therapy to patients. In this role, your leadership will be critical in facilitating key decisions, collaborating with a cross-functional program team and company leadership, and integrating their input into the program’s development.
Strong clinical, scientific, pharmaceutical development and project management experience is required, along with excellent communication skills and organizational leadership experience. Clinical development experience across geographies is strongly.
Responsibilities Influence and lead teams through stakeholder discussions to help frame and obtain approvals for the asset strategy, including funding and scope
Establish and maintain integrated global development plans outlining key cross-functional activities required to achieve program milestones
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including research, clinical, regulatory, manufacturing, quality, project management, etc, to implement development plans and ensure seamless integration and coordination of program activities
Help monitor and optimize the allocation of resources across the program to maximize program efficiency and productivity
Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies
Bring strong business acumen with a perspective that includes an understanding of the external development and commercial landscape
Organize and lead certain cross functional project team meetings, helping set agendas and drive key decisions in collaboration with project management
Play a critical role in building inclusive high performing teams by creating an environment of cooperation and respect, influence and facilitate teams to obtain approvals for asset strategy, investment and scope
Facilitate the publication of data in appropriate peer-reviewed platforms with abstract, posters, and both presentation and manuscripts
Help organize and run scientific advisory boards; interact with external experts from time-to-time as needed
Required Qualifications Advanced degree; a doctorate or other advanced degree, in a scientific field is, higher degrees or certifications (MS, MBA, PMP, etc) will also be considered
10+ years of experience in drug development, including leading Program Teams through early development (first in human through Phase 2)
Experience in clinical stage drug development, particularly in dermatology or other immunology and/or autoimmune disease areas
Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional multidisciplinary teams effectively
Strong understanding of regulatory processes, technical operations, market access, and commercialization
A strategic, innovative thinker
Excellent communication skills and organizational leadership experience

Compensation: $190,000 - $260,000, plus Discretionary Bonus
