Revolution Medicines is a clinical-stage precision oncology company focused on developing novel targeted therapies to inhibit frontier targets in RAS-addicted cancers. The company’s R&D pipeline comprises RAS(ON) Inhibitors designed to suppress diverse oncogenic variants of RAS proteins, and RAS Companion Inhibitors for use in combination treatment strategies.

The Opportunity: Revolution Medicines is looking to have a Senior Director of People Operations and Technology join their fast-growing organization. Reporting to the Vice President of Total Rewards, People Operations & HRBP, Development, you will make an immediate impact advancing the people operations and technology strategy that supports the current and future Revolution Medicines team.

Responsibilities:

  • Build functions and infrastructure to support significant global growth of the organization over the next 3-5 years, including Systems Leadership and Strategic Plan Development.
  • Lead and prioritize the Workday Optimization Roadmap post-initial go live in mid-September, incorporating business needs and cross-functional stakeholder alignment.
  • Collaborate with HR subfunction team members in talent acquisition, and culture, engagement and learning to develop a systems strategy and roadmap for our HR systems.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive change management, communication, and training plan strategy to support ongoing adoption of people programs and systems.

Support Organizational Growth and Global Expansion:

  • Use your subject matter expertise to lead, design and scale from a US-centric to a global Operations and Technology function to support employees across multiple countries and regions.
  • Evaluate current processes and evolve, develop, automate, and implement standardized, scalable HR processes and policies that ensure consistency, efficiency, and compliance across geographies.
  • Build and implement an HR launch readiness and preparedness playbook in close partnership with the Commercial HRBP team.
  • Manage Employer of Record (EOR) partnerships while planning the roadmap for formal entity creation internationally.
  • Lead global mobility programs including immigration, cross-company mobility, and potentially relocation in collaboration with cross-functional and business partners.

Team and Cross-functional Leadership:

  • Leverage exceptional leadership skills to guide and manage a team of eight, working to effectively scale people operations & technology functions, leveraging internal and external resources and as a strategic partner to the business.
  • Lead our highly collaborative team to effectively prioritize initiatives, and communicate programs and changes.
  • Partner with HR Business Partners, talent acquisition, total rewards, IS, legal finance, and other stakeholders to align people operations & technology initiatives with broader organizational strategies.
  • Own and audit the full lifecycle of data-related HR processes, with a focus on quality and compliance.
  • Provide leadership in collaboration with Finance, Payroll, SOX, Compliance, and Legal to ensure cohesive execution and risk management.
  • Work to foster a cohesive, collaborative, and fun workplace.

Required Skills, Experience and Education:

  • Degree with a minimum 15 years of hands-on people operations experience, with demonstrated progression in responsibility in a fast-paced, growth environment.
  • At least 5 years of management experience.
  • Experience either leading a team or being part of a team responsible for scaling an organization globally.
  • Strong analytical skills with an emphasis on key insights, trends, issue identification, and recommendations.
  • HRIS implementation experience and communication strategies.
  • Global experience in a commercial company.
  • Strong problem-solving aptitude, creative, flexible and consultative; strong sense of business needs and making decisions based on data and emerging priorities; high integrity and accountability.

Preferred Skills:

  • Workday experience, including implementation.
  • Experience working in a biotechnology/life sciences organization that is rapidly scaling to late-stage clinical development into commercial stage and beyond, preferred but not required.

The base pay salary range for this full-time position for candidates working onsite at our headquarters in Redwood City, CA is $236,000 — $295,000 USD.
