We are seeking an experienced Senior Director of Transportation and Logistics to
optimize global logistics operations and drive exceptional customer
satisfaction. This strategic leadership role will manage a $200 million
global logistics freight spend, leading transformation initiatives
across transportation, warehousing, and distribution within a complex,
matrixed network across multiple business segments. The ideal candidate
will have a strong background in strategic planning, project management,
and network optimization within the logistics and warehousing sector
with a focus on North America, EMEA, and APAC regions.
Specific Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a transportation and logistics network supporting the global growth strategy, profitability, and customer requirements. Lead automation and digital transformation initiatives to enhance productivity with real-time supply chain visibility. Oversee the execution, contracting, and service of the transportation network, delivering freight cost savings, improving customer experience, and strengthening key partnerships. Ensure transportation network resilience against market and macroeconomic disruptions. Collaborate with Global Trade to ensure compliance with regional laws and regulations.
Financial & Performance Management: Manage Transportation and logistics P&L at a global level, driving cost savings without compromising service quality. Establish KPIs to monitor and improve transportation and warehouse efficiency and customer satisfaction. Align logistics strategies with overall business goals and global growth plans.
Team Leadership & Development: Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing teams to support double-digit YOY growth targets. Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Ensure stakeholder engagement and buy-in for logistics strategies and system/process enhancements.
Requirements: - Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, or related field. - Proven experience in strategic logistics planning, network optimization, and team leadership. - Strong knowledge of North American, EMEA, and APAC logistics markets. - Excellent project management and communication skills. - Ability to lead transformation initiatives and manage large budgets.
