As Senior Director, you'll be at the forefront of building partnerships that bring KID Museum's unique programs to more schools and districts. Whether your experience comes from education, business development, or a blend of both, your skills in cultivating relationships, developing proposals, and driving growth will help us reach new communities and inspire the next generation.
What You'll Do
- Forge and nurture relationships with school and district leaders, becoming a trusted partner in their educational journey.
- Lead outreach efforts to introduce KID Museum's hands-on programs and professional learning to new communities. Cultivate and manage partnerships, leveraging your experience in sales, business development, or education to drive sustainable growth.
- Collaborate with internal teams to design proposals and partnership models that align with district goals and priorities. Guide the process from first conversation to signed agreement, ensuring a smooth and positive experience for all partners.
- Stay informed about trends in education, funding opportunities, and policy changes to help shape our strategy.
- Represent KID Museum at conferences, events, and meetings, sharing our mission and expanding our network.
Who You Are
- You have experience in education (teaching, school leadership, curriculum development, or similar roles) OR you bring a strong background in business development, sales, partnership cultivation, or related fields.
- You're a relationship-builder who enjoys connecting with others and working toward shared goals.
- You have a proven track record in partnership development, sales, or proposal writingskills that are highly valued and transferable to this role.
- You're organized, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple projects.
- You communicate clearly and persuasively, both in writing and in person.
- You're excited to learn new skills and approaches, and you thrive in a collaborative, mission-driven environment. You're passionate about equity in education and eager to help all students access creative, hands-on learning.
