As Senior Director of Regulatory Operations, you'll command state authorizations and local permitting across multiple jurisdictions simultaneously. You won't just interpret regulations—you'll drive timelines through them, building the systems that transform regulatory complexity into operational clarity.
2 Hour Learning powers a growing family of K-12 schools built on a revolutionary premise: students achieve a full year of academic growth in just two focused hours daily. Our private equity backing provides the stability to scale rapidly, while our proven model delivers real educational transformation. This isn't a pilot—this is national expansion with purpose.
This role offers exceptional opportunity for post-consulting operators seeking true authority and ownership. You'll have decision rights, not just influence; startup urgency with financial backing; and direct educational impact without nonprofit constraints. You'll work directly with a founding team obsessed with speed, data, and outcomes—not bureaucracy or boardroom politics.
What You Will Be Doing
Orchestrate regulatory timelines across 25-30 simultaneous campus launches, ensuring no critical path is blocked Drive state-level authorization, licensing, and compliance filings with precision and accountability for outcomes Execute local permitting processes (zoning, fire, building, operational) with strategic foresight and tactical precision Align execution across legal, real estate, and operations teams to eliminate friction points and accelerate approvals Engineer a repeatable, scalable regulatory playbook that systematically reduces time-to-launch metrics Cultivate high-leverage relationships with regulatory officials across multiple jurisdictions
What You Won’t Be Doing
Following predetermined processes—you'll architect the regulatory playbook that drives our national expansion Passively tracking status updates—your role demands active intervention and barrier removal Sacrificing speed for compliance or vice versa—both are mission-critical and non-negotiable Managing sequential approvals—you'll orchestrate parallel regulatory processes across multiple states Operating in a functional silo—you'll serve as the central connection point between legal, facilities, and operations Creating bureaucratic complexity—your mandate is to simplify, accelerate, and unblock Diffusing accountability—you own the regulatory timeline and its impact on launch schedules
Senior Director Of Regulatory Operations Key Responsibilities
Deliver complete, on-time regulatory clearance across all campuses—enabling each site to open on schedule with full legal and operational readiness, directly enabling our national expansion strategy.
