About the Role
The Company is on the lookout for a passionate and experienced Senior Director of Public Relations to represent our interests across multiple local markets as we prepare to launch our exciting new city-based teams. This critical role will focus on building and nurturing strategic relationships that are essential for driving business success, including sponsor relationships, ticket sales partnerships, marketing collaborations, civic engagement, government relations, and community involvement.
The ideal candidate will bring at least 10 years of substantial experience in sports business development, external relations, or market development roles. A strong network within the sports industry and proven capabilities in managing responsibilities across diverse geographic markets is essential. Your strategic mindset coupled with hands-on execution skills will be crucial to success.
Key responsibilities include:
Developing cross-functional connections and representing the organization publicly.
Driving strategic business development initiatives that align local opportunities with the organization’s capabilities.
Maintaining a meaningful presence in six key markets to maximize relationship potential.
Assessing and prioritizing high-value opportunities to support business objectives.
The right candidate will be a self-motivated individual, ready for extensive travel and authorized to work in the United States. Preferred qualifications include experience in launching or expanding teams across multiple markets, a background in minor league sports, and fluency in Spanish to enhance market engagement.
