Job Description We are seeking a senior leader with a proven ability to influence and lead large, complex technical teams in delivering modern services and products. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams including program and product management to define, execute, and deliver scalable features while fostering a culture of engineering excellence and diversity.
As a Senior Director in Acceptance Solutions, you will lead engineering teams to deliver high-quality, innovative features. You will work with colleagues across various departments to guide project dependencies and ensure engineering excellence, aiming for six nines availability. Your strategic vision will help shape the next phase of FinTech innovation.
Responsibilities
Drive the design, implementation, and deployment of secure, reliable products.
Lead engineering teams to adhere to platform standards and best practices.
Collaborate with product teams on requirements and roadmaps.
Manage and develop a multidisciplinary team of engineers and data scientists.
Build an inclusive, accountable, and growth-oriented team culture.
Ensure strong program management and stakeholder partnerships.
Model Visa Leadership Principles.
Qualifications Minimum of 15 years of experience with a Bachelor’s degree or 12 years with an advanced degree (e.g., Master’s, MBA, JD, MD). Extensive experience in product development using technologies like Java, Spring, Angular, and data processing frameworks such as Hadoop and Spark. Proven leadership in secure, mission-critical systems and data-centric solutions. Strong collaboration, strategic thinking, and industry knowledge are essential.
Additional Information Work Hours: Varies based on department needs.
Travel: 5-10% of the time.
Physical Requirements: Office setting, involving standard desk work and communication.
