The Senior Director of Clinical Reimbursement Operations (SDCRO) is responsible for overseeing and managing MDS Coordinators and financial operations within the division of MDS Solutions. The SDCRO will manage MDS coordination and client relations related to RAI assessments, reimbursement optimization, and Care Plan development in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and company standards. They will provide ongoing education and training to the MDS Coordinators to ensure skills are current with reimbursement policies and federal quality reporting programs. The SDCRO will conduct audits for compliance and reimbursement optimization to ensure optimal client outcomes. They perform well independently or as part of a team, utilizing clinical, analytical, communication, and customer service skills, along with sound judgment and professionalism. What do we offer you? Manage scheduled billing hours for each MDS Coordinator under supervision, providing ongoing feedback. Assist the Director of Education with orientation and onboarding of new MDS coordinators; track all training activities. Identify training and performance needs of MDS coordinators and develop targeted improvement plans. Conduct regular audits of MDS coordinators to ensure coding and care planning meet standards. Maintain client relations through meetings and reports to review operational performance and satisfaction. Advise VP of Consulting Operations on client concerns and follow through with corrective actions. Stay current with clinical standards, MDS changes, regulations, reimbursement policies, and quality reporting programs. Collaborate with VP of Consulting Operations to establish reasonable billable hours expectations. Assist in other related duties as directed by VP of Consulting Operations. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in nursing or therapy discipline Minimum 5 years clinical experience, with 3+ years in RAI process Current and unrestricted RN or Therapist (OT, PT, SLP) license Current RAC-CT certification Strong critical thinking, clinical judgment, and knowledge of quality improvement Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office; ability to learn billing software Leadership and interpersonal skills Knowledge of PDPM and State Case Mix Reimbursement Understanding of Medicare, Managed Care, and applicable regulations Effective communication and customer service skills Initiative, creativity, and presentation skills Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, ability to operate a vehicle Occasional travel required Key Rehab is an equal opportunity employer/service provider.
