The Opportunity The coming decade is critical for climate action. As Climate Lead scales philanthropic resources for impactful solutions, the Senior Director of Marketing will play a key role in engaging new climate philanthropists. This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced marketing strategist to lead efforts that inspire and attract new entrants to the sector. Ideal Profile We seek an experienced marketing leader with a strong vision, creativity, and commitment. As marketing is a new focus at Climate Lead, the Senior Director must effectively communicate strategies to team members unfamiliar with marketing, building support and demonstrating results. An innovative mindset and enthusiasm for applying extensive marketing expertise to Climate Lead's mission are essential. Required Experience At least ten years in management roles leading marketing/brand strategy, campaigns, and teams across diverse audiences and geographies. Experience developing multi-channel marketing strategies to engage new audiences, donors, or constituents. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, capable of crafting compelling narratives. Proficiency in digital marketing, including social media, email campaigns, and SEO/SEM strategies. Experience organizing sophisticated, curated events in content and strategy roles. Proven ability to lead diverse, high-performance teams in matrixed environments. Experience fostering collaborative, learning-oriented work cultures. Ability to build and expand external networks with a respect for diverse perspectives. Experience articulating marketing strategies through multiple channels, speaking engagements, or advisory roles.
