Drawing on our expertise in strategy consulting, data analytics, brand management, marketing, operational and macroeconomics, Visa Consulting and Analytics solves the most strategic problems for our clients. The US Consulting Practice within Visa Consulting & Analytics provides consulting and solution services for Visa’s largest issuers in the United States. We apply deep expertise in the payments industry to provide solutions to assist clients with their key business priorities, drive growth and improve profitability. The VC&A team provides a comprehensive range of consulting services to address challenges in areas such as profitability, strategic growth, customer experience, digital payments and risk management. The VCA team seeks a Senior Director to lead our Risk Practice and to develop and deliver high-impact projects for Visa’s clients in North America. The Risk Practice advises on core risk management areas for card portfolio management, including originations strategies, underwriting, fraud, authorizations, credit line management, and disputes. Our team collaborates with other parts of Visa to bring best-in-class guidance on risk-related topics. Responsibilities Proactively engage Visa leaders in regular strategic and planning discussions; cultivate and manage a pipeline of work related to Risk (e.g., authorizations, fraud, partial authorization, underwriting, collections, enumeration defense, cyber security, and others). Lead consulting initiatives and contribute to closing engagements by identifying opportunities in Risk across all segments of VCA. Develop frameworks, approaches, solutions, and recommendations that address the most impactful opportunities for issuers, acquirers, merchants, processors and fintechs. Build solutions and actionable insights to help clients grow their business, monetize assets and achieve core goals. Partner with peers in other functional areas and across global/regional teams to execute projects leveraging Visa’s resources. Act as an orchestrator bringing Visa Risk Products and Solutions to market. Produce insights and recommendations to improve client performance and drive strategic guidance across product categories and segments. Analyze large data sets to derive meanings, insights, and client recommendations. Train team members on portfolio management topics to develop the next generation of subject matter experts. This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager. Qualifications Basic Qualifications 12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree, or at least 10 years with an Advanced degree (e.g., Masters/MBA/JD/MD), or a minimum of 5 years with a PhD Preferred Qualifications 15+ years with a Bachelor’s Degree or 12+ years with an Advanced Degree, with 9+ years of experience 10-15 years of relevant experience managing card portfolios, payment schemes, and large management consulting engagements Experience using financial and risk indicators to measure business performance and ROI impact Strong analytical skills and intellectual rigor Self-motivated, results-oriented with ability to manage multiple projects Deep knowledge of retail operations and payment schemes, products/services, business systems, processes, marketing initiatives, and user experience Excellent communication, storytelling and presentation skills; team player Technology-minded, curious, up-to-date with digital trends Additional Information Work Hours: Varies by department needs.
