Senior Director, Enterprise Strategy

Stanford Medicine is organized in 32 departments and 8 institutes, with over 2,000 faculty. It generates over $4 billion in revenues.
Role Senior Director, Enterprise Strategy. Work with Stanford Medicine leadership to develop, design enterprise‑wide initiatives as it relates to clinical enterprise/service lines and establish key strategic priorities.
Duties
Drive key strategic initiatives from inception, scope and implement special projects and strategic initiatives to support long‑term vision and short‑term objectives.
Collaborate with institutional leadership, hospital leadership, faculty, special committees, and consultants to support planning and execution of key initiatives and strategies.
Ensure strategic planning projects and priorities are aligned at all levels of Stanford Medicine.
Work closely with the Dean, hospital CEOs, and Stanford Medicine leadership teams to establish and review key strategic priorities and translate them into a comprehensive strategic plan with actionable quantitative roadmaps.
Lead efforts to research, analyze, and present data to support strategic and operations decision‑making. Direct effective responses to internal and external surveys and data requests.
Keep Stanford Medicine current and aligned with emerging trends and opportunities and stay abreast of pertinent federal, state, and University regulations, laws, and policies.
Provide input into and help develop content for engagements with key internal and external boards and committees.
Develop strong working relationships with and serve as a strategic partner to chairs and institute directors.
Monitor execution of the strategic plan and evaluate progress against plans, including performance benchmarks.

Education and Experience (Required) Bachelor's degree and seven years of relevant experience in administrative and financial management, or combination of education and relevant experience.

Demonstrated leadership and supervisory, planning and change management skills.
Excellent planning and organizational skills.
Advanced financial expertise in accounting, budgeting, and forecasting.
Advanced expertise in grants and contract administration.
Strong negotiation and effective interpersonal skills.
Attention to detail and accuracy.
Physical Requirements Desk‑based computer tasks, occasional standing/walking, use a telephone, lift 11‑20 pounds.
Working Conditions Occasional evening and weekend hours.
