The Senior Director, Digital Product will lead the strategy, development, and execution of digital products for Loyalty, Brand, and B2B platforms at Preferred Travel Group (PTG). This role is responsible for driving product vision, managing product lifecycles, and optimizing guest experiences across B2C and B2B websites, booking engines, mobile platforms, and other digital touchpoints. The Senior Director will focus on increasing direct bookings, improving conversion rates, and enhancing online revenue streams. They will define and manage business and functional requirements for digital products, ensuring alignment with overall business goals. The Senior Director will oversee cross-functional teams, including Product Owners, and drive operational excellence through agile methodologies and continuous optimization. General Summary
The Senior Director, Digital Product will lead the strategy, development, and execution of digital products for Loyalty, Brand, and B2B platforms at Preferred Travel Group (PTG). This role is responsible for driving product vision, managing product lifecycles, and optimizing guest experiences across B2C and B2B websites, booking engines, mobile platforms, and other digital touchpoints. The Senior Director will focus on increasing direct bookings, improving conversion rates, and enhancing online revenue streams. They will define and manage business and functional requirements for digital products, ensuring alignment with overall business goals. The Senior Director will oversee cross-functional teams, including Product Owners, and drive operational excellence through agile methodologies and continuous optimization.
ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIP
You will report to the Vice President, Digital Strategy & Innovation, working closely with the marketing, loyalty, IT, UX/UI, brand creative, and senior leadership/cross-functional team members. You’ll deliver world-class experiences that meet the exacting standards of independent luxury hotels, affluent travelers, and travel professionals while growing topline revenue and driving engagement for our websites and app.
Duties & Responsibilities
Digital Product Strategy & Development
Lead the development and execution of the product vision and roadmap for PTG’s digital platforms, ensuring alignment with the company’s long-term business goals and guest experience strategy. Lead the strategy, development, and execution of digital product initiatives across PTG’s digital platforms to drive engagement, revenue, and user satisfaction. Serve as the product owner for key digital platforms, including but not limited to iprefer.com and mobile app, managing product lifecycles and ensuring alignment with business goals. Focus on driving key business outcomes, including increasing direct bookings, optimizing conversion rates, and improving online revenue streams across PTG’s digital platforms. Support PTG’s digital product AI roadmap, identifying opportunities to leverage AI and machine learning to improve guest experiences, optimize booking processes, and drive personalization across digital platforms.
Customer Experience & Personalization
Drive the development of personalized experiences across digital platforms by leveraging data-driven insights, AI, and machine learning to create unique, guest-centric experiences. Lead the integration and management of digital identity strategies (CDP), ensuring consistency and personalization across all guest touchpoints. Manage translations and the language roadmap for international markets, including PTG’s .cn site for the Chinese market, ensuring relevant and accurate content for global audiences.
User Engagement & Performance Optimization
Lead A/B testing and other optimization efforts to improve site performance, user engagement, and conversion rates across brand products. Optimize digital merchandising to enhance visibility and relevance, driving increased engagement and encouraging repeat bookings through personalized content and product recommendations. Collaborate with teams to implement strategies that optimize content presentation, ensuring that it aligns with AI search algorithms and improves product discoverability for users. Track and analyze key performance metrics, such as traffic, conversion rates, and revenue per visitor, using insights to inform content and product optimization decisions.
Operational Excellence
Define business and functional requirements for new product initiatives, ensuring alignment with the broader digital strategy. Track and measure the success of digital products using key performance indicators (KPIs), such as engagement rates, conversion rates, customer satisfaction, and revenue growth. Oversee product testing and validation processes, ensuring quality assurance and user acceptance testing (UAT) are completed effectively. Utilize Jira and Confluence to manage workflows, document requirements, and ensure transparency and collaboration across teams in the product development lifecycle. Manage bug reporting, tracking, and resolution to ensure a seamless, high-quality user experience across brand products. Ensure content, merchandising, and SEO/GEO strategies are executed effectively, meeting deadlines and driving results aligned with business goals.
Team Leadership & Collaboration
Collaborate with marketing, IT, data science, and senior leadership to ensure alignment on digital product and content strategies. Champion and help define agile operating models, including structure, procedures, governance, enabling technology, as well as mindset and change management to accelerate value delivery and cross-functional adoption. Lead and mentor a team of Product Owners (Brand and B2B), ensuring collaboration, alignment, and growth. Foster a high-performance culture, ensuring each team member’s growth and success. Drive continuous improvement within the team, promoting a culture of collaboration and innovation to enhance the guest experience and optimize revenue generation.
Qualifications
Minimum of 10-12 years of experience in digital product management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role, ideally in the hospitality or travel industry.
Proven track record in managing the full product lifecycle, from ideation to launch and optimization. "Driver" mentality with a proactive, solutions-focused mindset and the ability to push projects forward with urgency and accountability. Ability to think creatively and manage resources effectively, doing more with less while delivering results. Must thrive in a fast-paced, results-driven environment and be comfortable navigating ambiguity and uncertainty with a solutions-focused approach. Proven experience in driving digital product performance through content strategy, SEO/GEO, A/B testing, and optimization. Proven ability to increase direct bookings and optimize revenue across digital products. Strong understanding of digital technologies, user experience (UX), and data analytics. Experience with Agile and Lean methodologies, with a deep understanding of how to manage product backlogs and prioritize user stories to deliver iterative and impactful releases. Expertise in using Jira for backlog management, sprint planning, and issue tracking; proficiency in Confluence for documentation and cross-team collaboration. Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders. Data-driven, with experience in product performance analysis and using KPIs to guide decision-making. Strong understanding of generative AI search trends and how content can support search algorithms to improve product discoverability and user engagement. Experience with content localization and translation for international markets, including China.
WORKING CONDITIONS
This role follows a hybrid working model, with a base out of one of the following PTG office locations: NYC, Chicago, Washington DC, or Newport Beach, CA. Associates are generally expected to work from the office a minimum of 3 days per week, allowing for a balance of in-person collaboration and flexible remote working. Travel is estimated at approximately 5%, or as appropriate to support the overall expectation of the position.

SALARY
