Role Description We are looking for an innovative Senior Director, Digital Marketing to lead the B2C and B2B customer acquisition strategy for Apartments.com. The leader will deliver acquisition initiatives across paid search, programmatic display, paid social and re‑targeting, manage a multi‑million dollar media budget, build and mentor a high‑performing digital marketing team, and partner with internal stakeholders to drive ROI and growth.
Responsibilities
Deliver B2C & B2B acquisition initiatives and campaigns across paid search, programmatic display, social, and other defined channels.
Lead budget management and forecasting for all acquisition channels.
Build, mentor, and manage a team of digital marketing subject matter experts.
Partner with Brand Marketing, Sales Enablement and Creative teams on strategic campaign direction and creative assets.
Uncover new opportunities to acquire customers efficiently through relationships with core channel partners, media agencies and network contacts.
Lead strategy for the use of DMPs, DSPs, ad networks and re‑targeting and manage day‑to‑day operations.
Achieve key traffic, lead generation and performance metrics through segmentation, targeting and creative optimization strategies.
Continuously improve spend efficiency by reducing average cost per visit, cost per lead and other core objectives.
Prospect new publisher and media buying opportunities.
Lead channel initiatives to test, learn and recommend next actions to increase revenue and customer growth.
Work collaboratively with Product, SEO, Analytics, Finance, IT, Sales and executive teams to meet cross‑departmental objectives.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
15+ years online marketing experience with a minimum of 5 years success in performance based online media buying at scale.
Minimum online media budget of $75 M per year.
Demonstrated ability to manage a team or department and mentor staff.
Experience with programmatic buying, paid social, DSPs, DMPs and large‑scale spend.
Prior experience in online marketplaces and B2C/B2B business models.
Strong communication skills and ability to translate complex programs to partners.
Preferred Qualifications
Ability to apply insights to media strategies to drive performance.
Strong communication skills to break down complex programs and strategies.
Experience with both B2C and B2B business models.
