This Sr. Finance Leader will oversee, develop and coach a team of 5 - 8 financial professionals to drivehigh impact financial analysis, forecasting, reporting and month end close deliverables. The successful candidate will provide guidance on strategic, operational, and financial issues to the supported areas, including driving financial efficiency, operational effectiveness, and strategic workforce solutions. Success in this role will require the ability to cultivate strong trust and influence with Sr. Leadership across the Development Functions areas.This person will be viewed as the business partner that provides strategic direction and is seen as the “go to person” for business financial analysis, insight,and counsel. Capabilities and Requirements: 14+ years of relevant experience with a BA/BS OR 12+ years of relevant experience with an MS/MA or MBA required, and having held positions of increasing scope and responsibility.
Prior experience in biotech/pharma and R&D organization is strongly preferred.
In-depth proficiency in aspects of accounting and finance and knowledge of US GAAP is required.
In depth knowledge of Planning and ERP systems is required with proficiency in Microsoft tools.
Experience in high-growth, multi-national organization a plus.

Gilead considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation, including experience, qualifications, and geographic location. These considerations mean actual compensation will vary. This position may also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, discretionary stock-based long-term incentives (eligibility may vary based on role), paid time off, and a benefits package.
