Job Description
The Senior Director of Corporate Finance will lead corporate financial planning and analysis for Public Storage, a leading Fortune 500 real estate company. This role will lead a team that manages enterprise-wide budgeting and forecasting, and delivers key financial reporting that supports internal outlook, earnings guidance and capital markets activity. The Senior Director is a critical role that will work closely with senior Executives and operational leaders across the company and directly lead a team of finance managers and analysts.
Responsibilities
Lead the development, consolidation, and review of the annual enterprise-wide budgets and periodic forecasts.
Lead the preparation of quarterly and annual earnings outlook and guidance ranges.
Build, maintain, and enhance three-statement financial models for forecasting, scenario analysis, and long-range financial planning.
Collaborate with department heads and business functional owners to support and execute corporate strategies.
Serve as key advisor to CFO and other senior management regarding strategic planning, capital markets activity, and major initiatives
Build dynamic financial models for time-sensitive ad-hoc projects and financial pro-forma, e.g., what-if scenarios, sensitivity analysis, etc.
Drive process improvement efforts through automation and standardizationof modeling and reporting
Develop and grow a corporate finance team consisting of manager to entry level analyst roles
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
Master degree or CFA-designation is a plus
10+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis, corporate finance, investment banking, and/or private equity; with Real Estate or REIT industry experience strongly preferred
Expertise in building complex Excel models and strong proficiency in creating executive-level PowerPoint presentations
Strong understanding of financial statements and key financial performance metrics
Experience in Workday Adaptive Planning and business intelligence tools such as Tableau or PowerBI is a plus
Knowledge Skills & Abilities
Ability to work in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment while managing multiple priorities and shifting deadlines
Demonstrates a self-driven attitude with exceptional willingness to learn new skills
Highly motivated with outstanding analytical and organizational skills
Ability to effectively collaborate with leaders and key stakeholders across all levels
Must have a high level of intellectual curiosity and strong desire to play an active role in broader business initiatives
Strong verbal and written communication skills

Public Storage teammates are expected to work in the office five days each week with the option to take up to three flexible remote days per month. Our office is based in Plano, east of I75 near E.
