The SPARC organization within Azure drives advanced architecture and manages hardware roadmap planning and program management from concept through production for all of Microsoft’s current and future on-line services. Well-defined and executed strategic planning ensures products meet the requirements for performance, features, and time-to-market. The ability to draw insights from a deep understanding of the cloud HW Infrastructure landscape and industry trends is critical in informing the roadmap and planning decisions.
We are looking for Senior Director of AI Hardware Product Management to join our team, who will play a key role in driving the planning and roadmap for our AI Infrastructure powering Microsoft Cloud, Azure Foundry and CoPilots. Qualifications
Required/minimum qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree AND 10+ years experience in product/service/program management or software development OR equivalent experience.
3+ years people management experience.
9+ years of technical product management experience, including products within datacenter HW systems and/or Cloud infrastructure.
9+ years experience creating product roadmap(s) from conception to launch, driving end-to-end program execution, defining product go-to-market strategy, and leading program direction discussions.
Other qualifications:
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in program management fundamentals including presentation skills and written communication; ability to build relationships and influence in a matrix organization; manager cross team deliverables including program costs, schedules, risks and issues mitigation.
Understanding and passion for program management, establishing process and framework for large scale collaboration
Experience leading teams in silicon, HW systems & SW ecosystem setup within technical contexts
Proven capabilities to multi-task and drive positive business results.
Knowledge of server technology and associated commodities is a plus but not required.
Prior people manager experience is highly desirable but not required
Product Management M6 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $163,000 - $296,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $220,800 - $331,200 per year.

Responsibilities
Collaborate and drive efforts across multiple engineering groups within Microsoft to enable efficient collaboration and decision-making across Microsoft and Azure.
Develop and implement processes and methods that support cross-team alignment.
Lead the strategic product vision, hardware roadmap, and system requirements for next-generation AI infrastructure.
Drive executive decision-making for new investments, including:Competitive analysisProgram goals and business requirementsArchitectural conceptsRisk management strategiesFinancial analysisSchedule and hardware strategy
Manage technical projects from requirements through execution, including:Complex project schedulesRoadblock removalProcess optimization
Work with hardware architects, engineering, and business teams to drive end-to-end program development.
Partner with cross-functional teams to define, prioritize, and implement features, infrastructure, processes, and workflows.
Identify and prioritize customer needs, market opportunities, and competitive gaps, translating them into actionable product requirements and specifications.
Take end-to-end ownership of the product area and advocate for customer needs while aligning with business goals.
Maintain a high level of technical proficiency in AI workload requirements.
Communicate effectively with senior management, highlight cross-functional risks, and provide recommendations to support product-level decisions.
Operate effectively in ambiguity, applying or designing processes where they add value and recognizing when flexibility is more appropriate.
