Job Summary
Responsible for planning, organizing, directing, and controlling project activities for effective project management. Oversees installation labor and subcontractors, manages financial performance, ensures quality installation, and supports employee training and development.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Plan and schedule engineering, installation, and subcontracting activities on large and complex systems or service-installed jobs
Maintain current job plans and specifications
Coordinate with engineering during design and drafting phases
Manage procurement of materials, supplies, and services, ensuring timely delivery
Prepare, manage, and execute installation plans
Review project details to determine design, cost, or scope changes; implement approved adjustments
Maintain construction schedules and coordinate tasks with other trades
Select and monitor subcontractor performance
Communicate project status with superiors, subordinates, and clients
Maintain digital project records including status updates, material purchases, contracts, job changes, drawings, submittals, quotes, correspondence, and control records
Review or assist with project estimates
Support site surveys for accurate estimating
Implement quality assurance programs to improve customer satisfaction
Present a professional image when working with clients
Build and maintain relationships with client decision makers
Routinely walk job sites to verify quality installation and provide updates
Ensure customer satisfaction throughout project lifecycle
Monitor job status and control job costs
Provide labor and material data as required
Assist management with resource allocation forecasting
Review job financial reports for proper management and cost control
Prepare data for billing cycles
Use reports and management tools to identify issues and implement corrective actions
Review timecards to assess job performance
Develop and implement plans to ensure project profitability
Training & Development
Stay current on products, processes, and materials through literature and seminars
Provide on-the-job guidance and training on concepts, procedures, and products
Job Closure
Oversee As-Builts
Ensure completion of paperwork, purchase orders, and warranty letters
Confirm projects are transitioned to service
Ensure projects are fully billed and revenue recognized
Complete job closeout reports
Provide client contact information for training scheduling

Minimum Qualifications
Knowledge:
High school education or equivalent
Associate or bachelors degree in a technical field preferred
Project management experience required; IT Project or PMP certification desired
Skills & Abilities:
Minimum five years of experience in engineering and installation of low-voltage systems or related field
Strong knowledge of engineering fundamentals, relay logic, and operations
Skilled in subcontractor management
Strong written and verbal communication
Ability to interpret and manage job financial reports for large projects
Experience with IT-related equipment (servers, databases, networking) preferred
Physical Demands
Must be able to see, hear, speak, and write clearly for communication
Manual dexterity required for reaching, lifting, and office equipment use
Work Environment
Team-oriented work setting
Office environment is clean, orderly, and low-to-moderate in noise
Site conditions align with typical construction project environments
