Sales Director

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Develop, implement, and monitor sales strategies to support overall business goals.
- Align sales initiatives with Marketing and Customer Service Directors to deliver a unified go-to-market strategy.
- Serve as the departmental champion for the Salesforce CRM platform: ensure adoption, data integrity, training, and reporting effectiveness.
- Manage, mentor, and conduct regular one-on-one meetings with Territory Account Managers. (TAMs )
- Provide performance coaching, support SMART goal development, and ensure accountability to company policies and TAM role expectations.
- Conduct territory performance reviews and drive growth opportunities by region.
- Support pipeline development, sales forecasting, and opportunity management.
- Attend and represent the company at national and regional trade shows, customer meetings, and industry events (approximately 25% travel).
- Partner with the Director of Marketing to grow brand presence and ensure thorough product knowledge at the retail and distribution level.
- Work closely with the Sales Coordinator to review and analyze sales data, trends, and KPIs to identify areas for growth or improvement.
- Participate in new product planning, promotional strategy, and channel development.
- Lead monthly sales team calls and strategy sessions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure sales input via structured data is incorporated into product development and marketing campaigns.
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and setting sales targets.
- Ensure timely and accurate expense reporting and adherence to company policy.
- Handle escalated customer or distributor issues professionally and in alignment with company values.
Qualifications and experience include, but are not limited to:
- Bachelor's degree, advanced business training and 5+ years of experience in sales leadership, preferably in the consumer goods industry.
- Proven ability to lead a field and or internal sales teams to drive revenue growth.
- Competence with CRM systems, managing structured data.
- Competence in O2C and M2S business processes in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Highly analytical with experience in forecasting and strategy execution.
- Technologically proficient, with hands-on experience in CRM systems (preferably Salesforce).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment with minimal supervision.
