Our client is a privately held CPA and wealth management firm specializing in accounting, tax, audit, advisory, and financial planning services for businesses and high-net-worth individuals. Serving a diverse mix of enterprises, including manufacturing, franchises, real estate, and construction, as well as individual families, they deliver integrated, forward-thinking solutions that help clients grow their businesses, protect their wealth, and enjoy their successes. Position Overview: Reporting to the President, the Director of Sales will lead the day-to-day operations of a growing sales team. You will be responsible for crafting the sales plan and initiatives, establishing ambitious yet achievable targets, and reinforcing a defined sales process. Your expertise in deal coaching, coupled with strong observation and feedback skills, will be crucial in developing your team's sales capabilities, ensuring they effectively leverage the company's comprehensive accounting, tax, audit, and wealth management services to meet client needs. Your leadership will directly contribute to the company mission of empowering clients to grow, protect, and enjoy their wealth. This role requires emotional intelligence, a strong leadership presence, and the ability to build trust with a range of individuals and functions. This role is ideal for a senior-level sales professional who thrives in execution, motivating and managing high-performing teams, reinforcing accountability, and ensuring the sales strategy is carried out with discipline and consistency. This role will be based out of the Mendota Heights, MN office, with hybrid flexibility (3 days in-office, 2 remote). Key Responsibilities: Oversee the daily operations of the sales team, ensuring consistent execution of established sales processes Lead regular sales meetings to drive alignment, reinforce priorities, and promote accountability Creates a system that allows for accurate forecasting and predictable results to allow for effective capacity planning Understands best practices in sales to build or enhance the system and tools needed to support sales Sales Plan and Initiatives Oversee the development and implementation of an overall sales plan with clearly defined initiatives for the sales team to execute Create focused sales initiatives that will drive the sales team to accomplish goals Effectively drives planning to the salesperson level, including setting goals for revenue, margin, and specific actions salespeople will take to achieve those goals Works collaboratively with finance and operations for capacity planning to execute the sales strategy Coaches and Develops Team Demonstrates proficiency and ability to train, provide feedback, and coach sales team members Implements performance management of structure and tools Sets clear expectations and uses metrics to measure performance, diagnoses coaching opportunities, and holds sales team members accountable Build the Sales Team Creates the overall sales structure including evaluation of team and capacity needs Develops and coordinates a program and tools for successfully hiring and onboarding new sales team members: Skills and Experience: 5+ years of sales management experience for small to mid-sized sales teams Skilled at developing and executing business plans, setting KPIs, and aligning cross-functional teams around clear goals and outcomes Committed to coaching, mentoring, and developing talent; fosters a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and high performance. Proficiency in CRM management and analysis Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills; capable of building trust with diverse teams and influencing executive-level stakeholders. Highly accountable, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment. Our client offers a competitive salary and benefits package. Target compensation is $150,000 to $180,000 base salary, plus bonus. Base pay within the range is determined by a candidate's skills, expertise, or experience.
