Yeah, you… the one half reading this job description, half wondering what life would be like if you worked for a company that turns crappy into happy by eliminating foul odor in your world. ~THE JOB As a sales Director you will be responsible for driving sales growth of ~Pourri’s products into Amazon and mass retail accounts throughout the USA. The Sales Director’s main focus will be to increase distribution while developing exceptionally strong customer relationships. The Sales Director will directly manage Amazon and specific accounts in these channels and contribute to the overall sales team strategy. ~THE RESPONSIBILITY Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve sales targets for Amazon. Create and communicate sales goals to internal teams and work with cross functional partners on assets to support those goals. Build and maintain long-lasting, strong relationships with customers while partnering with them to better understand their business objectives and needs. Become the channel expert by understanding industry-specific trends and landscapes. Pitch and secure additional in-store space and in-store brand exposure. Look for incremental opportunities. Work with internal teams to determine & communicate value propositions through presentations and proposals and present that to retail partners. Work through budgetary guidelines on promotional strategy. Monitor and shift strategic directions of account success and tactical budgets. Broker Management. Manage monthly replenishment orders and monitor correct shipments to retail partner. Retail Store Checks to review our items in store, shop competition, and share findings internally. ~THE QUALIFICATIONS Must have the desire to learn, grow, and adapt to on-going change while driving every aspect of the business in a small company with high standards for branding and growth. 8-10 years working with Amazon, experience with Broker Management experience is required. Ideal candidates will have held a regional or national sales position successfully selling consumer/branded products (preferably in personal care, fragrance, health, beauty and/or cosmetics and have current trade channel contacts.) Experience working with national retailers in relevant channels. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint), Asana, Slack. Bachelor’s degree in business or related field of study. THE ~SKILLS Ability to adapt to change and to operate effectively in ambiguous situations. Self-starter w/emphasis on creativity but partnered with solid analytical and problem-solving skills. Must be able to work in a (very) fast-paced environment, multi-task and prioritize. Energetic, inquisitive, collaborative with a great attitude. Must be a challenger, risk taker and go-getter mentality. Create a sense of urgency, initiate change, improvise solutions, promote alternatives, negotiate shortcuts.
