Job Overview We are currently looking for a Sales Director to join our team in Chicago, IL. This position will cover Illinois, Western Michigan, Northern Indiana, Wisconsin, Minnesota, North Dakota, Missouri, and Iowa. As a Sales Director, you will be a: Strategic leader responsible for contributing to the growth and profitability of the company through development and execution of business plans to achieve area business development goals and objectives. Responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients, real estate, A&D firms, project management firms, and channel partners to drive new business development. Provide leadership, support, and direction to the direct report team and maintain a united focus on capturing market share. Meet or exceed assigned sales targets including quota. Essential Functions Collaborate with sales leadership to align business development initiatives with overall business strategy for growing market share and revenue. Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with distribution partners through joint strategy planning and execution of market share growth initiatives. Measure and analyze business development performance, identifying areas for optimization. Promote collaborative and efficient environments internally and externally; address stakeholder concerns, including dealer, end-user, and key influencers to foster effective partnerships. Lead and manage a strategic business development function, such as territory sales, global accounts, or architectural and A+D sales. Create and execute business development strategies and programs that align with business objectives, support organizational growth, and drive continuous improvement by evaluating processes, identifying areas for enhancement, and implementing best practices. Drive strategic revenue growth, implement effective strategies, foster team accountability, and ensure clear communication of goals. Lead business performance through forecasting, pipeline management, and business plan execution, optimizing win rates. Oversee budget, policies, and team management, including hiring, development, and performance oversight. Coach and develop team performance through regular sessions and reviews, ensuring accountability for goals. Promote the effective use of Haworth selling tools and CRM. Champion a culture of belonging, supporting initiatives for talent acquisition, engagement, and retention. Foster career enrichment opportunities for team members. Develop and implement account growth plans, encompassing campaigns, client engagement, and target account strategies, adapting to market dynamics to achieve sales goals. Maintain a strong market presence, cultivating relationships with key industry contacts, monitoring trends, promoting the brand, and pursuing new business. Perform all essential job functions with or without accommodation. Utilize office automation, communication, software, and tools used in Haworth's office environment. Perform other duties within scope as assigned. Required Qualifications Education: Bachelor's degree in business, sales, architecture, interior design, marketing, communication, or equivalent. Education Equivalency: Associate's degree plus 2 years related experience or, High school diploma plus 4 years related experience.
Work Experience: 7 years diversified sales and account development experience, including 6 years in commercial product sales with a successful revenue generation track record, and 3 years in a sales supervisory role with a Bachelor's degree. 5 years diversified sales and account development experience, including 6 years in commercial product sales with a successful revenue generation track record, and 3 years in a sales supervisory role with a Master's degree. Current and continuing right to work in the United States without sponsorship. Preferred Qualifications Contract office furniture or commercial interiors experience. Experience managing remote territories and team members. Compensation and Benefits Haworth offers a competitive total rewards package including base salary determined based on the role, experience, skill set, and location. This role offers a salary range of $139,000 to $271,000, depending on candidate experience, education, and skill set.
