We are seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented leader to oversee and manage the entire Accounts Receivable (AR) and Billing operation , reporting directly to the CFO and company partners . This is a key role that will drive accuracy, compliance, and collaboration across multiple departments. Position Summary The Director of AR & Billing will take full ownership of billing processes, revenue tracking, and financial oversight. This individual will work closely with billing teams, facility teams, social services, and controllers to ensure all billing and revenue processes are executed seamlessly and in compliance with all payer requirements. Responsibilities Lead and oversee billing teams to ensure all services are billed accurately, timely, and correctly .

Oversee revenue recognition processes , ensuring revenues are recognized and tracked by category, including: RFMS

Share of costs

SSI room and board

Managed care

Other payer sources

Coordinate and lead financial and AR reviews with facilities, coaching them on providing the data needed for efficient billing.

Collaborate closely with social services and facility teams , understanding their workflows to ensure benefits, authorizations, and insurance information are accurate and active .

Manage and maintain insurance, health plan, and payer contracts , ensuring accurate billing and proper validation.

Take full ownership of AR processes , driving compliance, accuracy, and seamless cross-department collaboration.

Partner with controllers to predict cash flow and improve financial forecasting.

Qualifications Proven experience leading AR and billing operations, preferably in healthcare, senior care, or multi-facility operations .

Strong understanding of revenue recognition, payer sources, and insurance validation.

Exceptional leadership and communication skills with the ability to coach and develop teams.

Hands-on, problem-solving mindset with a focus on collaboration and compliance.

Knowledge of financial reporting and cash flow forecasting is a plus.
