JOB SUMMARY
The Resource Center Director is responsible for the overall administration of The Road Home’s Family Non-Congregate Children Housing (FINCH) crisis services and shelter program, serving up to 85 families daily. This program prioritizes families seeking shelter who have the youngest child(ren) of families seeking shelter, have a family size of less than five, or have an extreme medical condition, in a non-congregated emergency shelter. The Director provides leadership for the day-to-day operation of the facility and program accountability to ensure service goals are met or exceeded equitably.
The Director will focus on Human Centered services to families who are experiencing homelessness and ensure Trauma-Informed Care and evidence-based best practices are integrated at every program level. The Director will work tirelessly to help streamline programs that aim to end homelessness as quickly as possible for every family we serve. The Director will value and create opportunities for input from clients, staff, and partners. The Director will be a model for ethical, fair, competent, and professional values, service delivery, and client relations, including supportive and appropriate individual services to clients, client rights, confidentiality and boundaries, respect for personal dignity, worth, and privacy of clients, the self-determination of clients concerning their needs, problems, goals, and interests.

Program Management and Development
Oversee all program operations to ensure success of the program in meeting the needs of families and children experiencing homelessness in this program. Work closely with leadership in a continuous improvement model to ensure ongoing program evaluation and foster a learning environment. Collaborate with the other departments in our agency and onsite and other community partners to develop and coordinate client services. Be aware of federal and local changes regarding homeless services, housing services, and shelters, as well as new and emerging best practices and research. Actively seek data-driven solutions to service challenges. Serve as an integral part of The Road Home’s leadership team, providing feedback on staff and guest concerns and workshopping ways to enhance the services provided to guests. Assist in efforts to continually assess areas for improvement with equity, anti-racism, and diversity among shelter operations, identifying and implementing new practices as needed. Ensure fidelity to housing focused, Trauma-Informed Care, and Low Barrier Shelter service models. Train staff and infuse principles into day-to-day service provision. Carry out administrative duties, including reports, data collection, development of resources, program evaluation, and research. Work with agency management and the accounting team to monitor and manage family services budget, process invoices, and maintain records. Participate in and, where appropriate, provide leadership to various community engagement projects and homeless service system governance activities
Staff Management
Direct a diverse staff, including 24/7 support staff and case management. Ensure the highest quality of data entry and reporting Support staff development and coaching Lead weekly staffing meetings and other meetings as required or desirable Supervise graduate and undergraduate student interns as available
Community Liaison
Maintain effective and cooperative inter-agency relationships, including attendance at community meetings and committees related to services. Serve as the primary point of contact for all community meetings and partnerships related to FINCH. Build and foster relationships with partner agencies, including education, employment, mental health, substance abuse, and medical providers, to support client services that can transition into housing stability support as individuals move out into the community.

Demonstrates awareness and desire to understand diverse populations. Ability to contribute to the Agency’s commitment to enhancing awareness and appreciation. Willingness to understand that housing first, harm reduction, low barrier access to resources is best practice and essential to our mission at The Road Home. Ability to set and maintain good boundaries, using Trauma-Informed Care as a guideline. Other duties as assigned
Education And Experience
Bachelor's Degree or higher from an accredited college or university or equivalent work experience in Social Work or another related field is required. Minimum of two years of experience working with homeless or low-income populations. Knowledge of homeless or severely at-risk populations. Experience in related fields may be substituted. Knowledge and experience of administrative duties, including project management, supervision of a diverse staff, reporting and presentation, computer fluency, and organizational skills.

Ability to contribute to the agency’s commitment to enhancing awareness and appreciation of diverse ethnic and cultural heritages. Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
Physical And Equipment Requirements
Ability to lift 25 pounds. Ability to stand and walk for at least an hour at a time, including navigating multiple floors in a facility that does not have an elevator. Ability to drive a vehicle.
