PRIMARY JOB FUNCTIONS : Responsible for the planning, coordination, and operation of the JBS Adult MI Residential Program. Responsible for supervising/monitoring the quality and appropriateness of care offered by the Adult MI Residential Program. Responsible for ensuring the Adult MI Residential program operates in compliance with standards established by the Alabama Department of Mental Health and Medicaid. Supervises staff of the Adult MI Residential Program. Perform case consultation with placement team. Oversees the screening, selection, and placement of recipients into and within the Adult MI Residential Program. Acts as a liaison between Adult MI Residential Program, Director of Nursing, other JBS programs, local community resources, and ADMH. Responsible for the expenditure of funds and submission of budgetary requests in the Adult MI Residential Program. Administers appropriate personnel functions, including hiring, disciplinary action, and performance reviews. Responsible for the maintenance and up-keep of properties/equipment. Conducts special projects/assignments. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Master’s degree in human service field or related mental health discipline. Minimum of five years supervisory experience of a clinical or residential nature. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

Knowledge of the Authority's services and operations. Knowledge of the Authority's policies, procedures, and practices. Knowledge of mental health diagnoses, treatment modalities, and assessment instruments. Ability to complete administrative reports as well as recipient reporting requirements. Ability to effectively manage the operation of the Adult MI Residential Program. Ability to establish effective working rapport with other staff members. Ability to effectively manage and supervise employees at the professional and paraprofessional levels of the organization. Competency in documentation within the Authority’s electronic health record (EHR).
