Job Description Minimum Qualifications:
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)
Successful completion of a Residency Program
Completion of a Fellowship, if appropriate
Licensure to practice medicine
Board certification in relevant medical specialty
Hospital-approved credentials (medical license, clinical privileges)
Unrestricted DEA number
Appropriate certificates for area of practice (BLS, ACLS, ATLS, PALS, etc.)
Duties and Responsibilities: The duties listed below are general and not all-inclusive. Other duties may be assigned.
Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations, including history review, physical exams, and diagnostic test interpretation.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, collaborating with healthcare teams.
Provide inpatient care through regular rounds, monitoring, and addressing complications.
Prescribe medications and interventions according to protocols.
Perform medical procedures within area of expertise.
Order and interpret diagnostic tests.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for coordinated care.
Communicate effectively with patients and families.
Educate patients on self-care and post-discharge instructions.
Document medical records accurately and completely.
Participate in hospital committees and multidisciplinary rounds.
Attend conferences and ongoing medical education.
Adhere to hospital policies and protocols.
Provide leadership and supervision to medical staff and students.
Maintain professionalism, ethics, and confidentiality.
Physical Requirements
Prolonged standing/walking, lifting, reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching.
Exposure to hazards, chemicals, bodily substances, noise, radiation, lasers, electric shock.
Risk of bloodborne diseases and infections.
Contact with patients in various emergency and transport situations.
Handling emergency crises and hazardous materials.
