Overview The University of Florida College of Nursing is seeking applicants with a PhD in nursing or related health‑care field for a full‑time, twelve‑month, 1.0 FTE non‑tenure track position at the rank of Research Associate Professor & Director of Implementation Science and Outcomes Evaluation. The Director will lead the integration of evidence‑based research into clinical practice with a focus on measurable outcomes and the advancement of strategic initiatives within the College of Nursing.
Key Responsibilities Lead Implementation Science Initiatives (50%): Develop, execute, and manage the College's implementation science strategy to translate evidence‑based research into nursing and healthcare practices.
Data‑Driven Decision Making (5%): Use advanced analytics to measure intervention impact, identify improvement opportunities, and guide strategic nursing practice and healthcare delivery decisions.
Impact Reports (5%): Design and deliver comprehensive impact reports with KPIs, patient outcome metrics, and ROI analyses to support continuous improvement.
Collaborative Partnerships (5%): Establish and maintain relationships with healthcare organizations, academic partners, and community stakeholders to drive adoption of innovations in clinical settings.
Research and Grants (10%): Serve as PI or co‑PI on implementation science projects, with a focus on securing extramural funding for translational research and nursing practice innovation.
Quality Improvement (5%): Lead data‑driven quality improvement initiatives, including workflow optimization and outcome measurement.
Mentorship and Capacity Building (5%): Mentor faculty, postdoctoral fellows, and graduate students in implementation science and analytics use in clinical settings.
Policy and Practice Integration (5%): Oversee development of guidelines and recommendations that drive adoption of innovative practices supported by data and impact analyses.
Training and Development (5%): Develop educational programs on analytics, impact reporting, and evidence‑based practice for nursing students and professionals.
Leadership in Research Translation (5%): Lead dissemination of implementation science findings to improve clinical care with measurable, scalable impacts.
Minimum Qualifications PhD or equivalent in Nursing, Public Health, Health Services Research, or related field with a focus on implementation science, translational research, or healthcare analytics.
Experience using data analytics to measure intervention effectiveness and deliver impact reports.
Strong publication record in implementation science, healthcare delivery, or nursing innovation.
Proven success in securing external research funding and managing large‑scale, data‑driven projects.
Experience leading interdisciplinary teams and collaborating with diverse healthcare stakeholders to implement evidence‑based practices.
Strong analytical skills with ability to translate data into actionable clinical insights.
Excellent leadership, communication, and mentorship abilities.
Preferred Qualifications Expertise in healthcare analytics, data visualization, and reporting tools for decision‑making in healthcare settings.
Experience with health informatics, including EHR systems and quality improvement platforms.
Knowledge of healthcare policy and alignment of data‑driven initiatives with policy objectives.
Familiarity with Florida healthcare systems and national trends in implementation science and impact measurement.
