Elite health system seeks a Registered Nurse to serve as their Director of Infection Control.

Responsibilities:

Investigate and report exposure incidents, cluster, or any emerging pathogens public health issues. Serve as liaison with outside agencies and internal departments. Ensure that education and counseling on infection prevention is available to health care staff, volunteers, patients and visitors. Collect data to track and trend healthcare associated infections (HAIs) and submit reports to appropriate committees and departments as per hospital protocol. Assure that surveillance is performed in all patient care areas, departments and support services to determine infection prevention and control risks. Act as subject matter expert on various committees as well as providing consultative services to internal and external customers. Provide feedback to regulatory, advisory, and accrediting agencies regarding opportunities for improvement in standards and guidelines. Consult on the development of policy, procedures, protocols and standard work. Minimum Qualifications Licensed Registered Nurse Certification in Infection Control A minimum of 2 years of experience in a responsible administrative, managerial or supervisory capacity, in the development of infection prevention and control program
