About the Organization Our company was incorporated in 1984 within the State of North Carolina, and opened its doors for business in August of 1985. The company has continually grown to a point where we currently serve more than 600 individuals, and employ more than 1000 people across the state.
Skill Creations is a human services agency that operates three service divisions. The ICF Division provides specialized long-term residential care to 191 individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities in 15 different towns in North Carolina. The Community Operations Division provides residential and non-residential services to persons with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities in their home community. The Child Development Division, with two locations in Goldsboro, provides high quality child care and preschool for children ages birth - 5 years. One center also offers after school care through age 12. Description The Regional Nursing Director, an LPN position, under the supervision of the RN Clinical Director is responsible for a variety of duties related to the nursing assessment, care and management of adult individuals living in Skill Creations, Inc. facilities. Individuals served have physical and/or intellectual disabilities and/or medical care needs. The Regional Nursing Director works closely with the DSP-M, medical provider, Facility Director and QP to assure individuals' medical needs are met. The Regional Nursing Director provides a comprehensive ongoing assessment of each assigned client's medical needs and based on assessments, develops, implements and evaluates an appropriate plan of care. This position covers the Tarboro, Rocky Mount and Roanoke Rapids locations. This position is a full time salaried position which allows flexibility and the ability to work remotely, although travel to and from assigned residential facilities is required on a routine and as needed basis. Salary range begins at $48,900. Experience will be taken into consideration. A competitive benefit package including health insurance, PTO and a company vehicle will be provided. • Proficiency in computer use for e-mail, Google calendar, completion of training modules, and electronic medical record documentation
• Occasional balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling
• Valid driver’s license and ability to drive company vehicles (3 yrs. Driving experience, driving record that meets our insurability standards)
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with families, regulatory agencies, facility administrators and support staff.
