The Regional D irector, Safety Administratio n’s mission is to support in the development and maintenance of the safety culture of MTM Transits’ workforce in their assigned region.
This will be accomplished by:
Ensuring assigned locations and employees are being trained consistently, and in accordance with both State and Federal regulations, as well as any contract specific requirements
Ensuring that the organization is compliant with all required federal and state processes and programs such as drug and alcohol testing, DOT, and OSHA
Reporting and data analytics to include root cause analysis and creative solutions
Audit, analysis and the creation of strategy at the corporate and division level
Keeping Safety fresh and increasing awareness
The position must sit within the East Region of the US. It will be work from home but 50% travel within the East Region.
What You’ll Do:
Serve as corporate owner for the development and implementation of standard operationsprocedures (SOP’s) for all site specific and organization safety training andregulations
Act as Liaison when needed with government entities or their representatives during and audit or an onsite inspection
Provide daily guidance and leadership to the region Safety staff, located throughout theorganization
Assist with creation and delivery of safety videos, manuals, polices, procedures, and programs, both site specific and at the corporatelevel
Work collaboratively with Transit and Operations Leadership to ensure safety initiatives and cultural expectations are being met, including the Safety Program’s goals, objectives and short and long-term strategies
Conduct comprehensive analysis to determine need, project scope and best training methodology to ensure that safety training fulfills the needs and objectives of each location, as well as thecompany
Conduct and coordinate annual audits of both employee safety training files as well as site safetyevaluations
Establishment of Safety metrics and reporting dashboard, to be presented on a monthly and quarterlybasis
Collaborate with the training department on classroom and behind the wheel instruction according to corporate and client specifications in all aspects of vehicle operation in the course of passenger transportation, including defensive driving, service area familiarization, passenger loading, unloading and securement, proper manifest documentation, use of on-board equipment, accident and emergency procedures, dispatch and radio communications, and passengersensitivity
Support Corporate Safety Incentives and programs, which includes, but is not limited to, assignment of safety points, random audits of employee safety performance vs point system, recognition of high performers, and effectiveness of safetyprogram
Develop and lead monthly ongoing/refresher training in problematic topics relevant to the service and servicearea
Conduct, with the partnership of HR and the local safety staff, the investigation of vehicle accidents, occupational injuries and make recommendations regarding cause, preventability andretraining
Collaborate with corporate Marketing to ensure all training program material and resources are consistent, professional and easily accessible, organization wide
Ensure and oversee that assigned new implementations have an all-encompassing safety training plan for all new employees that includes start up for leaders, internal staff and external stakeholders
Seek out new and more effective training techniques, suggest and lead enhancements to existing safety training programs
Update training materials to ensure instructional integrity
Oversee the selection, training and hiring of all safety positions

What You’ll need:
High School Diploma or G.E.D.
Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent combination of education and experience) in a relatedfield preferred
6+ years of transit/ paratransit safety management experienceor related experience
3+ years’ professional facilitation experience in safety training role
Certified Safety Professional (CSP)preferred
Prior Supervisory experience
Must possess a valid driver’slicense
Ability to maintain high level ofconfidentiality
Knowledge of DOT and FTA laws and regulations
Ability to acquire and maintain strong knowledge of service/products that MTM Transit offers,protocols, policies andprocedures
Ability to prioritize assigned projects, incidents, and requests
Strong communication skills, including presentations
Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of management
Strong planning and organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage changing priorities, handle multiple projects, meet deadlines and adapt to a changing businessenvironment
Ability to function independently and as part of a team with a positive attitude, strong work ethic and demonstrate a high level of ownership
Commitment toexcellence
Knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Office software applications with advanced skills in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Abilitytoworkcordially,professionally,collaboratively,anddiplomaticallyindynamicenvironment with ongoing display of sound judgment in dealing with sensitive interpersonal and businessmatters
Ability to interpret a variety of documents such as technical data, operating instructions and policy/proceduremanuals
Ability to recognize safety improvement opportunities and gaps and clearly identify and articulate options and tools available to help drive desiredbehavior
Ability to effectively delegate tasks and provide appropriate supervision andfollow up to department staff
Ability to travel local and overnight roughly 50%
May be required to drive a company or rental vehicle (failure to pass an annual Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) background screen may result in termination of employment)

Salary Min: $107,120/annually
Salary Max: $120,000/annually
