Location : Must be locally based in the following strategic markets; Greater Chicago Area, NY/New England, Central Florida, Carolinas (Southeast), and Greater Phoenix Area, AZ
Position Purpose Statement/Objective
POGO Turfpro is rapidly expanding its direct and distributor sales channels across the USA and Europe. Professionals such as former golf superintendents, assistant superintendents and field sales representatives with experience in the turf industry can utilize their expertise to contribute to our success.
The main responsibilities of this position include networking to generate POGO opportunities, recruiting and onboarding new distributors, supporting the development of existing distributors, providing technical assistance, and applying agronomy expertise to proactively engage turf managers with strategic insights.
Core Responsibilities
Develop and evaluate strategies and tactics to promote interest, increase market penetration, and drive revenue growth
Build and maintain a pipeline of prospects and leads, Support and manage relationships with assigned distributors with the development of distributor business plans and conducting quarterly business reviews
Serve as the voice of the customer to feedback to the product and marketing teams, enhancing the value proposition of the POGO system and improving the user experience
Collaborate with marketing to develop engaging events, plans and materials to promote the POGO system
Enhance brand awareness and educate existing and prospective users about the POGO system through presentations and visits to key universities and research facilities within the region Represent the organization at national and regional trade shows and events including regional and national GCSAA meetings
Engage directly with existing and potential customers to ensure optimal utilization of the POGO Turfpro system, fostering customer satisfaction and supporting continued sales growth Monitor system usage to identify potential product issues, address customer concerns, and identify training opportunities
Operational
Reporting
Collaborate with the VP of Business Development to establish relevant monthly, quarterly and annual key performance indicators (KPIs) for sales, technical support and marketing activities for the region
Provide weekly updates to the VP of Business Development on actions taken and potential growth opportunities, including comparisons to established KPIs
Communicate effectively with VP of Business Development regarding POGO customer and technical issues, ensuring all interactions are accurately documented and followed up through Zendesk. Provide summaries and trend reports to the team as necessary
Review technical support inquiries daily and respond directly or coordinate with designated support personnel to ensure timely resolution of issues.
Conduct and report on monthly sales analyses covering all POGO Products and services, including POGO Pro and Pro+, TurfPro cloud, POGO Weather, POGO Lab Analytics, POGO Accessories, Mapper, and other related offerings
Transactional
Review sales quotes and orders daily to ensure accuracy, input orders as needed, and verify that the production backlog is current
Maintain and update forecasting tools
Assist with technical testing in POGO development initiatives including app development, beta testing, and hardware testing under the guidance of the Director of POGO R&Dand engineering team
Collaborate in creating training modules and implementation plans to support customer understanding of the POGO system, maximizing the value of our products and services
Process technical assistance inquiries and responses, and document through support systems such as Zendesk, Goldmine, and any further support systems the company implements
Support usage and development of AI agents and tools

Qualifications
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Turf Management and Science, Agronomy, or a related field
Certification from the GCSAA (Golf Course Superintendents Association of America)
Previous experience and excellent track record as a Golf or Sports Turf Superintendent
Business management and strategic planning training or education is advantageous
Detailed familiarity with products and services related to turf maintenance equipment, plant health and nutrition, fertility enhancements and/or irrigation is desirable
Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required
Skills, Traits, and Background
Member of Golf Course Superintendents Association of America (GCSAA)
Proficient in MS Excel, MS Word, Outlook 365
Familiar with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems as well as support platforms like ZenDesk or equivalent system
Punctual, reliable, credible, a stand-up individual who is committed to completing tasks on time and with integrity
Skilled in identifying and communicating problems along with proposed solutions.
Self-motivated with a strong work ethic
