Location: Throughout the Cleveland, Ohio region A healthcare organization that owns several nursing homes in the Cleveland, Ohio region is seeking a strong Regional Business Development Director. Responsibilities: Develop and implement team-based, facility-level marketing plans, including analyzing local healthcare systems, identifying customer needs, determining core competitive advantages, building a core selling message, establishing reach and frequency for target customers and prospects, and coordinating selling strategies and tactics. Establish and maintain relationships with industry influencers and key community partners. Prospect to gain and secure access to higher-level hospitals, ACOs, and physicians. Develop and execute census improvement plans, marketing plans, and programs—both short-term and long-term—to support sales and revenue objectives alongside the RDO and VP of Business Development. Recruit, manage, and mentor a team of business development representatives, setting clear goals, coaching performance, and motivating them to achieve sales targets. Identify, communicate, advocate, and intervene when appropriate with obstacles to optimal census outside of admissions, sales, and marketing (e.g., operational, clerical, administrative issues). Guide the preparation and completion of reports to management. Qualifications: Regional experience is required. Experience with long-term care facilities is required. Practical working knowledge of business development and long-term care is essential. Ability to negotiate effectively with external agencies and organizations. Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to analyze organizational needs and develop appropriate strategic plans. Strong leadership abilities and capacity to work collaboratively within a team-oriented structure.
