Position Overview The Charleston Area Medical Center Institute for Academic Medicine seeks a dynamic Behavioral Medicine and Psychiatry residency program director to lead our Psychiatry Residency Program. Responsibilities include curriculum development, resident supervision, recruitment, and compliance with accreditation standards. Reporting to the Chair of the Department of Psychiatry and the Designated Institutional Official, the director will lead a team of psychiatrists and psychiatric sub-specialists to provide an exceptional learning environment and patient care. About CAMC CAMC is West Virginia's leading healthcare provider with 7 hospitals and over 1,520 physicians. The Institute sponsors over 19 ACGME-accredited programs, including a robust clinical psychology internship and a combined Internal Medicine/Psychiatry program. Our campus trains more than 160 medical students annually, with over 1,000 learners daily. Program Details The Behavioral Medicine and Psychiatry residency program is accredited for 6 residents per year, with a history of excellence. The program aims to train clinically competent psychiatrists prepared for private, public, or academic practice.
