BRIEF DESCRIPTION:
Are YOU are interested in being a construction Project Director? Our client's Project Directors are crucial to the organizational success of the company because they have the ability to estimate and close the sale.
The construction Project Director is responsible for estimating, closing the sale of, and managing restoration projects. The Project Director works closely with owners and managers of commercial, multifamily, senior living, healthcare, hospitality, and residential properties damaged by man-made or natural disasters to develop cost estimates for restoration, renovation, environmental, and roofing services. The Project Director is the quarter back of the project, ensuring that budgets and projects are on track through completion.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Revenue
Meet/exceed monthly and annual sales goals
Convert leads, negotiate contracts, and track via CRM
Drive revenue and oversee timely billing with project teams
Profitability
Own and manage project budgets
Monitor costs to maintain target margins
Optimize vendors, labor, and materials for profit growth
Collections (AR)
Set clear payment expectations with clients
Conduct weekly collection calls and review A/R aging
Maintain Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) ≤ 75
Business Development
Attend 2+ client meetings weekly (adjusters, consultants, etc.)
Represent the company at events: trade shows, luncheons, etc.
Collaborate with BDM and VP to expand the pipeline
Estimating
Use Matterport and sketching tools
Proficient in Xactimate and/or Time & Materials billing
Create estimates that hit margin goals
Customer Satisfaction
Maintain consistent weekly communication with all stakeholders
Set expectations early and provide updates throughout the project
Ensure satisfaction through project milestones and follow-ups
Team Collaboration
Work closely with Mitigation, Reconstruction, BD, and Project Accounting teams
Coordinate scopes, change orders, and project updates
Share all documentation and communication through internal systems
Requirements
5+ years in restoration or construction sales/business development
Experience with large loss, estimating, and catastrophe response
Available for 2–3 evening networking events per week
Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
Xactimate and CRM experience preferred
Excellent communication, financial, and project management skills
OSHA 10/30, CPR/First Aid preferred
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred
