The Staff Pad has partnered with Keeley Construction to identify a dynamic Project Director to lead large-scale, complex water treatment and wastewater infrastructure projects across Texas. About the Role:
As Project Director, you will oversee the full lifecycle of construction projects, from business development and pre-construction through project delivery and closeout. This is a leadership role focused on building strong relationships with clients, engineers, and industry partners while ensuring operational excellence, profitability, and safety across all projects. You will also play a critical role in driving the strategic growth of Keeley’s Texas Civil Business Unit.
Key Responsibilities:
Partner with the Business Unit Leader to develop and execute strategic initiatives targeting water treatment infrastructure projects.
Lead pre-construction planning, estimating strategies, and operational execution.
Build and sustain key relationships with owners, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to position Keeley for future opportunities.
Provide leadership to project teams to ensure excellence in project performance, safety, quality, scheduling, and financial results.
Manage owner relations and contractual obligations throughout the project lifecycle.
Champion recruiting efforts to attract top project management and field talent.
Collaborate with the leadership team on long-term strategic goals for the region.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent experience.
10+ years in heavy civil, structural concrete, or water/wastewater treatment construction.
Proven experience managing large-scale ($50M+) self-perform projects.
Expertise with project management and scheduling platforms (Primavera P6 ); familiarity with HCSS estimating software is a plus.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach, mentor, and lead diverse teams.
Strategic mindset with strong business development acumen.
