The Project Director ofTRIOStudent Support Services (SSS) makes a positive impact in the University’s students by providing leadership for programs that support the persistence, retention, and graduation of first-generation, low-income, and disabled University of Nebraska-Lincoln students. The Project Director,TRIOStudent Support Services will: Administer and implement innovative and high-impact programs and services forSSSparticipants to aid in retention and graduation Collaborate with University and community partnerships that will achieve the grants objectives and outcomes. Promote the services available toSSSprograms and recruit eligible students to participate in the program Recruit, hire, train, and lead a staff of professional staff, graduate assistants, and student workers to fulfill the mission of Student Support Services. Develop and administer andSSSgrant budget, based on the requirements of the grant. This includes reporting and securing additional funding for future grant years. Assess and monitor program data and outcomes.

A minimum of three years of experience working in higher education and/or in the administration of programs service low-income or 1st generation populations. Two years of experience supervising staff. Demonstrated commitment to diversity and a record of inclusion. Ability to develop programming to aid in student college success. Ability to support ongoing professional development for staff. Ability to provide leadership for program planning, to coordinate work efforts, to control performance standards, and to build and sustain University support relationships. Maintain accurate student records and produce reports on student progress as needed. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Attendance at conferences and workshops sponsored by the U.S. Department of Education and otherTRIO-affiliated associations.
