STATEMENT OF THE JOB
The Project Director will provide daily oversight of the OPT Team to ensure its successful implementation. The Project Director will monitor all program activities in order to ensure the appropriateness and effectiveness of services, identification of gaps in service delivery system, representing the Agency at meetings, conferences and public forums, strategic planning and implementation, development and implementation of processes and services that will improve the service delivery system, program development – including monitoring outcomes, staff training and development and staff supervision, compliance with SAMHSA grant requirements, agency policies and procedures, regulatory requirements and audit readiness and new initiatives. The Project Director is expected to have regular interactions with other management staff within Integrated Health and Wellness and the other corporations in CCBQ to promote coordinated care and comprehensive service delivery.
• Maintain connection with community partners, including establishing referral mechanisms.
• Develop and oversee training programs.
• Provide direct clinical services to designated client population.
• Monitor and track performance against all SAMHSA required measures, CCNS goals, and use of the ER and hospitals.
• Ensuring that target population has access to services according to SAMHSA grant requirements and Agency Mission.
• Monitoring program adherence to Agency, funding source and regulatory requirements.
• Awareness, preparation and participation in internal and external audits.
• Develop Corrective Action Plans related to audit and/or Quality Assurance activities – including implementation of the Corrective Action Plan at the program level.
• Monitoring appropriateness of staff development models, staff supervision and staff training.
• Responsible for ensuring that all programs report incidents in a professional manner to all required forums.
• Develop and implement strategies to assure that programs may obtain highest level of certification/license.
• Assure that OPT program goals, objectives and the Agency Mission are understood, fostered and supported throughout at the program level.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Master’s Degree in a Human Service-related field from a nationally accredited institution.
• Valid LCSW or LMHC preferred
• Minimum of five years of experience in the field of clinical and administrative social work.
• Minimum of 3 years’ supervisory experience in the BH field.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in the substance use field
• Expertise in a wide range of disciplines and evidence-based practices.
• Strong understanding of mental illness and substance abuse, especially as they relate to suicide prevention, response, and recovery.
• Demonstrated ability to manage programs serving diverse populations with substantial budget responsibility.
• Highly adept at developing, establishing, and coordinating BH programs.
• Experience includes clinical and managerial work in clinic, hospital, academic, and private settings.
• Proven ability to supervise mental health professionals.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to coordinate integration and collaboration efforts across agency programs.
• Excellent leadership and team building abilities.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication, organizational and analytical skills, comfort with public speaking and advocacy, ability to train and educate staff.
• Must be able to use an electronic health record and provide data and outcomes through electronic formats and databases.
• Able to utilize technology conferencing tools including audio, video and /or web deployed solutions and accountable for hand-held devices (I Phone, Blackberry, I Pad, Tablets, Laptops, etc.)

* Frequent walking, standing, & sitting.
* Should be able to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, & office equipment.
* Ability to read printed & handwritten materials.
* Ability to travel extensively in the community and use public transportation throughout the five boroughs.
