Program Director - Nurse Family Partnership ( 25000347 ) Job Type(Full or Part-time) : Full Time Benefits Eligibility : Full Benefits Detailed Shift Information. : Days, M-F Description JOB SUMMARY: The Program Director for the Nurse-Family Partnership (NFP) is responsible for the overall leadership, management, and strategic direction of the program, ensuring high-quality implementation of services that support first-time mothers and their families. This role involves overseeing program operations, staff supervision, budget management, community partnerships, and adherence to NFP model fidelity. The director works collaboratively with healthcare providers, community organizations, and stakeholders to enhance maternal and child health outcomes. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES / CRITICAL TASKS: • Serve as the primary liaison with FSS PEI, including participation on conference calls, attend meetings and trainings, cooperation with program evaluators from UT Child and Family Research Partnership and with state-level trainers. • Oversee all reporting and data collection activities. • Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring efficient and effective program delivery. • Manage the program budget and resources. • Monitor Nurse-Family Partnership program model implementation and fidelity. • Prepare and submit monthly and quarterly reports to FSS-PEI. • Develop and implement strategic goals and objectives for the program. • Coordinate with UTHSC finance office to submit monthly invoices to FSS-PEI for reimbursement. • Conduct outreach, engagement, and recruitment of local stakeholders from across all sectors (business, law enforcement, media, parents, philanthropy, city/county/state government, education, health, civic and faith) in the Smith County, Henderson and Cherokee area to serve on an early childhood coalition. • Work closely with FSS-PEI Community Development Specialist on coalition-building and systems change. • Convene the Healthy Families stakeholder group through regular meetings and communication. • Facilitate early childhood coalition meetings, planning and activities to promote systems changes that promote the health and well-being of young children. • Lead community in data-based strategic planning and work with partners to conduct community activities that support the early childhood coalition goals. • Develop a written community strategic plan in conjunction with the early childhood coalition group to inform the development of an early childhood comprehensive system. • Develop a sustainability plan for program activities. • Develop resource materials and provide institutional presentations to help program staff and stakeholders streamline and improve program practices. • Facilitate information flow between and among team members, other departments, and external groups or individuals to promote excellent family outcomes and the goals of the project. • Lead the FSS-PEI continuous quality improvement process. • Supervise program staff team members as assigned. • Ensure deliverables are met for the Health Families Project. • Maintain frequent communication with project and other staff through personal visits, letters, e-mail, phone calls, and webconferencing. • Adhere to internal controls and reporting requirements established by UTHSC and HHSC-THV • Perform other duties as assigned ACCOMPANYING KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND COMPETENCIES: • Experience in health education, organizing community-based events, and managing community advisory groups is preferred. • The ability to make moderately complex decisions while exercising independent judgment is required. • Knowledge of community resources and experience working with a variety of community-based organizations is preferred. • Knowledge of quality improvement tools and application is preferred. • Demonstrated ability to use Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Access, and various other software programs is required. Qualifications REQUIRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE: • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, business management, marketing, public-community health or related field is required • 3 years program management experience that includes excellent oral and written interpersonal communication skills, staff supervision, budget management, planning, coordination, and ability to work well within a team structure is required PREFERRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE: • An advanced degree is preferred, RN Preferred • 5 years program management experience that includes excellent oral and written interpersonal communication skills, staff supervision, budget management, planning, coordination, and ability to work well within a team structure is preferred Work Locations Work Locations: Tyler 75701 Organization Organization: 001-University of Texas Health Science Center-Tyler
