SUMMARY OF DUTIES The Program Director is primarily responsible for overseeing the operations of the program. The Program Director ensures prompt response to referrals, proper management of caseloads, and achievement of program goals. The Program Director plans, organizes, coordinates, monitors, and evaluates the services provided. The Program Director supervises staff of the program and provides direct service backup as needed.

EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS Program Director I-

Master's Degree from an accredited school in social work, psychology, or a related field.

2 years relevant experience; 1 to 6 years post-master's experience.

Bachelor's Degree and 4 years of relevant experience may substitute for the Master's Degree.

Other:

Master's Degree from a nationally accredited university as a behavior analyst, marriage and family therapist, mental health counselor, psychologist, social worker, school psychologist, or psychiatric nurse. LSW, LCSW, LMFT

SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

Experience working with parents/caretakers who harmed or threatened their children and children who experienced trauma and loss.

Experience with domestic violence, substance abuse, and permanency issues.

Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends. Excellent interpersonal skills and professionalism. Ability to manage multiple priorities. Good written and verbal skills.

Assuming or assigning professional responsibility for work completed.

Ensuring service delivery aligns with the organization's mission, policies, and procedures.

Providing in-service training.

Assessing participant needs, available resources, and legal/policy requirements.

Providing professional leadership, personnel selection, and performance evaluations.

OTHER POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Valid Hawaii driver's license, clear driver's abstract, and use of personal or agency vehicle for transportation, as needed. Willingness to travel throughout the island.

Position requires being on-call 24/7.

Subject to criminal background check; continued employment contingent on a clear record.

Completion of CPI classes or other behavioral management certification as mandated.

Ability to handle difficult negotiations and develop networks and teamwork, with good timing and strategy skills.
