The Program Director oversees the administration and leadership of the CLETA program, managing faculty and all program aspects. Reporting to the Dean of Allied Health, Public Safety, Wellness and Outdoor Studies, the director ensures program offerings across multiple campuses align with college standards, including risk management practices within the Training Academy. The role involves instructional and administrative leadership, supporting program and college-wide areas. Responsibilities include aligning offerings with college mission and standards, managing budgets, faculty hiring/support, accreditation, outreach, marketing, recruiting, and assessment. The director also collaborates with faculty and external agencies to ensure compliance and community needs are met, develops risk management policies, and maintains contingency plans for emergencies. This is a year-round, non-faculty staff position with teaching duties and oversight during guest lectures and adjunct instruction. Qualifications include relevant education and experience, with credentials to teach in the program, and preferably a Master’s degree and law enforcement experience. Certification in P.O.S.T. standards and a valid Colorado driver’s license are required. Bilingual abilities are preferred. The salary range is $106,670.61 - $118,522.89, with benefits and potential relocation support. Position closing date: May 12, 2025, or until filled. Minimum Qualifications: Essential Duties (approximate % of time): Program oversight and administration (60%) Leadership, curriculum consistency, instructor support, program review, budget management, compliance, risk management, community relations, outreach, faculty supervision, and program development. Teaching/Faculty (40%) Teaching responsibilities include course instruction, student assessment, advising, curriculum development, and maintaining certification requirements. Faculty engagement in scholarly activities and service is expected. Supervision and Conditions: Works under the Dean’s supervision, supporting faculty and staff, with possible supervision of faculty and staff. Requires background checks, travel, outside work hours, and a valid driver’s license. Work involves sitting, walking, driving, and physical activity, with standard office and driving conditions.
