Job Title: Physician - Medical Director - Diamond Hill Requisition Number: req27058 Location: Diamond Hill Health Center Job Description: Job Summary: The [Clinic] Medical Director provides leadership and administrative oversight of the day-to-day operations of their respective area, including APPs. Responsibilities include schedule development, template management, clinical management, provider engagement, patient experience, and quality improvement. The Medical Director collaborates with physicians/providers, the Vice Chair of [Area], and Practice Manager, sharing communications regarding outpatient clinical activities, best practices, evidence-based guidelines, and protocols. The role fosters a culture of collaboration, respect, and continuous improvement among care teams. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Clinical Performance: Assigns clinical coverage ensuring timely patient access, aligned with hospital and Acclaim expectations. Works with Practice Managers to improve clinic efficiencies. Oversees clinical work distribution, template management, and patient access. Serves as liaison with physicians/providers to maintain high standards of care. Communicates needs for physician/provider integration and performance improvements. People Performance: Addresses team dynamics or behavioral issues with leadership to maintain a respectful environment. Monitors provider adherence to practice, quality, and behavioral standards. Participates in provider performance appraisals and recruitment efforts. Academic and Educational Activities: Supports education and professional development of learners, providing mentoring and guidance. Financial Performance and Growth Strategies: Collaborates on strategic planning to expand services and improve access. Estimates future resource needs and participates in practice growth initiatives. Quality and Risk: Monitors quality and satisfaction metrics. Ensures compliance with federal and state directives. Communicates policies and standards to physicians/providers. Community Engagement: Participates in community education and public relations activities related to clinic services. Qualifications: Required Education and Experience: MD or DO from an accredited institution, Board Certification in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine, eligibility for Texas licensure, and at least 3 years of leadership experience in a large health system. Licensure/Certification: Texas Medical License, Board Certification. Preferred Qualifications: Leadership experience or potential.
