The Director of Physician Engagement is responsible for leading strategic initiatives that enhance physician satisfaction, performance, and retention. This role oversees the Physician Ambassador team and collaborates cross-functionally to ensure a seamless experience for radiologists throughout their tenure. The Director plays a key role in shaping the physician experience, driving engagement strategies, and ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

Job Functions

  • Lead and manage the Physician Ambassador team, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance oversight
  • Develop and implement physician engagement strategies that support retention, satisfaction, and professional development
  • Serve as a senior liaison between radiologists and internal departments (e.g., scheduling, IT, credentialing, accounting)
  • Oversee the onboarding experience in collaboration with Ambassadors to ensure a smooth transition for new radiologists
  • Monitor and respond to physician feedback, escalating issues and identifying opportunities for improvement
  • Collaborate with leadership to align physician engagement initiatives with organizational goals and culture
  • Ensure compliance with credentialing, licensing, and CME requirements in partnership with internal stakeholders
  • Analyze engagement metrics and prepare regular reports for executive leadership
  • Stay informed on trends in teleradiology and physician engagement to inform strategy and innovation
  • Represent the organization in physician-related initiatives and events

Qualifications Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in physician engagement, healthcare operations, or practice management
  • Prior leadership experience managing teams in a healthcare setting
