POSITION OVERVIEW: The Medical Director will oversee the quality and integrity of the hospital's rehabilitation services, playing a crucial role in enhancing the overall clinical care while also providing direct patient care. Key responsibilities will include: Collaborating with the CEO to position the hospital as the preferred choice for inpatient rehabilitation. Improving patient satisfaction rankings to exceed Encompass Health's averages and achieve consistent top 10 clinical ratings. Building strong relationships with local specialists to promote the benefits of inpatient rehabilitation services. Educating clinicians on the hospital’s services and enhancing referrals for inpatient rehabilitation. Establishing an approachable presence within the hospital, known for accessibility among staff, patients, and families. The PM&R Physician will have the opportunity to establish a private practice that includes a caseload of medically complex inpatient rehabilitation patients, as well as an optional outpatient rehabilitation practice. The Physiatrist will work with an independent billing company, retaining 100% of their own billing and collections.
