Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Lead Medical Director responsibilities for skilled nursing facilities (SNFs), including conducting health assessments, regulatory visits, and collaborating with other Eventus WholeHealth physicians for oversight visits at assisted living facilities (ALFs). Engage with facility management and nursing teams to enhance quality care practices. Supervise nurse practitioners (NPs) in your region, developing systems to foster a collaborative approach to patient care. Facilitate monthly primary care conference calls to discuss best practices and address any challenges. Collaborate with the audit team to ensure compliance with care standards and coding practices that adhere to Medicare and Medicaid regulations. Handle administrative requirements for SNFs, such as signing essential medical paperwork. Participate in quality assurance meetings and fulfill responsibilities as the attending physician during rounds, addressing family inquiries when necessary. Conduct regulatory visits every 60 days, supported by NPs who perform follow-ups every 30 days. Each SNF has a dedicated NP to manage acute cases, discharges, and supervise ongoing care plans effectively. Qualifications/Education: Valid MD or DO license. Minimum of 3 years of experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing environment. AMDA certification is advantageous but not required. Experience in a medical director role is preferred. Demonstrated leadership abilities. Outstanding organizational skills. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
