About OrthoWorx: Formed in 2009 with initial funding from the Lilly Endowment for the
Orthopedics Capital Foundation, the OrthoWorx (www.orthoworxindiana.com ) initiatives
feature community-based strategic collaborations with the orthopedic industry and other
stakeholders. OrthoWorx is focused on advancing the Orthopedic Capital of the World for
generations to come by fostering a welcoming and inclusive social environment focused on
sustained economic opportunity.
OrthoWorx is a non-profit and receives 501c3 funding through another affiliated organization,
Orthopedics Capital Foundation (OCF).
About Orthopedics Capital Foundation: For the benefit of the Kosciusko County region, we
seek to support the long-term sustainability and growth of Warsaw’s orthopedic community
through charitable, educations and scientific activities focused on: equipping talent, enriching
community, and accelerating innovation.
Position Summary: The OIRI Executive Director leads and has overall responsibility for
overseeing the implementation and deployment of funding for the OIRI initiative.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: interacting with key stakeholders
(internal and external) and investors, project management, and ensuring the completion of
regular and required reporting to the state of Indiana for the OIRI funds. This role will
collaborate with various local organizational leaders, city and county officials, education and
industry partners, private and public company leaders, and other community stakeholders. The
position is a 12-month 3-year grant-supported staff position.
Essential Responsibilities:
Serve as the primary point of contact for the OIRI project.
Interact with local organizational leaders, city and county officials, elected state
government officials and entities, education and industry partners, private and public
company leaders, and other community stakeholders involved with the OIRI project.
Manage contractual relationships and consultant/advisory groups for the OIRI project.
Work closely with the OrthoWorx President/CEO, members of the Visioning Committee,
and OrthoWorx Board members on the oversight and overall project management for the
OIRI project.
Support the OrthoWorx President/CEO and OrthoWorx Controller on the capital
elements of the OIRI project to ensure completion of all material aspects of the OIRI
projects June 2027.
Work closely with the OrthoWorx Controller on reporting expenditures and project
tracking for the OIRI project.
Engage with stakeholders impacted by the OIRI projects and the communication group
chosen to ensure effective local, regional, and state-wide communication on the OIRI
project.
Ensure effective communication with the state Budget Committee and designees thereof
for the OIRI project, and timely complete periodic required grant and financial reporting.
Other essential duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Oversee the OIRI Project Manager and any related temporary/contract employees directly
involved with the OIRI project.

Job Requirements:
General: Must possess the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed or be able to explain
and demonstrate that they can perform the essential responsibilities of the job, with or
without reasonable accommodations to safely perform the essential responsibilities of the
job.
Physical: Must have sufficient manual dexterity to be able to operate equipment
including, but not limited to: computers, keyboards, mice, touch screens, push buttons,
stylus, and remote controls.
Mental: Must be able to reason, analyze, prioritize, conceptualize, make judgments, and
solve problems.
Qualifications:
Minimum:
Bachelor’s Degree or commensurate work experience.
10+ years work experience in project or operations management
Strong interpersonal communication skills (verbal and written).
Knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
Strong work ethic, commitment, and attention to detail.
Must have a demonstrated ability to juggle and manage multiple tasks, operate under
pressure, and collaborate effectively.
Must be on-time, dependable, and able to remain attentive to details until all tasks are
complete.
Must exercise and demonstrate good judgment.
Preferred:
12+ years of project or operations management and supervisory experience.
Grant management experience.
Location
An office in Warsaw is provided. This position requires attendance at in-person meetings
and events in Warsaw, Indiana. Outside of required in-person meetings and events, occasional
