Overview Operations New Business Development Director – Sazerac Company Bio: Successful, on-time delivery of NBD is critical to delivering Sazerac's growth plans. This role will be responsible for the strategic development and execution of new and contract manufactured products, collaborating with the Commercial organization, and leading NBD plant/line assignment, manufacturing cost analysis, and plant-level NBD execution routines. Responsibilities Utilize PDS system and available resources to identify areas for continuous self-improvement. Regularly dedicate time to growing the skills outlined in the Development Plan. For direct reports, conduct optimal performance discussions, articulate consistent skill evaluations, recommend actions and tactics, and measure progress. Provide mentorship, training and development opportunities for department members based on their career development plans; know the team’s goals and help retain key successors. Develop and own NBD Stage Gate process. Maintain a prioritized list of new initiatives; ensure projects are communicated and managed to achieve target ship dates and volumes. Engage cross-functional teams to build timelines, identify risks and milestones; ensure on-time delivery and issue resolution. Partner with Commercial team to prioritize and execute innovation projects that will deliver Sazerac growth targets. Set clear priorities for projects and tasks; ensure the project team understands roles, updates are posted, and priorities are completed; maintain appropriate level of informing. Ensure NBD process is optimized, documented, and that all stakeholders are trained and understand their role(s). Own the Operations Supply Chain Assessment process. Lead footprint and plant/line assignment for NBD, perform manufacturing cost analysis, and build plant-level NBD execution routines. Work cross-functionally to identify, prioritize and execute cost-saving projects that do not impact product quality or service. Identify and implement improvements to the end-to-end NBD process; monitor and improve performance (on-time, right-the-first-time); determine root causes of failures and implement corrective actions. Ensure delivery of NBD projects on-time and right-the-first-time; monitor project health and course-correct as needed.
